The exhibition "Andy Warhol: Fantastic!" at Camera Work Gallery includes photographic works of more than 20 international artists who worked with Andy Warhol throughout his career, including LaChapelle's 'Andy Warhol: I'm a Deeply Superficial Person' (1986).
The more than 80 portraits provide a rare view on the personality of the co-founder of Pop Art and one of the most important artists in history.
The show is open from November 24, 2018 to January 26, 2019 at Camera Work's CWC Gallery in Berlin Germany.
CAMERA WORK gallery specializes in contemporary photography and vintage masterworks since its founding in 1997. The gallery aims to show the development of photo-art from its inception to the present by presenting classical icons such as Diane Arbus, Richard Avedon, Patrick Demarchelier, Helmut Newton, Irving Penn, Man Ray and Herb Ritts.
Nowadays, photography is increasingly influential in contemporary art and contributes to blurring the boundaries between different artistic mediums. CAMERA WORK regularly joins the world’s most important fairs for photo art, Paris Photo, Photo London, Photofairs Shanghai and Photofairs San Francisco among them. In order to focus even more on contemporary photography, CAMERA WORK opened a second gallery in Berlin, named CWC GALLERY, in 2012
