Presented at Fotografiska in Stockholm, Sweden, the group show 'Like A Horse' will feature three of David LaChapelle's pieces: "Angelina Jolie: Horseplay", "Angelina Jolie: Secret Touching," and "Angelina Jolie: With Horse in Meadow."
Comprising some 30 photographers this group exhibition, with the horse as its common denominator, reflects our relationship with this powerful, spiritual, beautiful and hard-working animal. Our relationship with the horse is as multifaceted as it is fascinating and ancient, exquisitely depicted in prehistoric cave paintings. And when Eadweard Muybridge in the 19th century perfected the photographic technique he chose to capture, among other things, the movements of the horse. Muybridge’s famous series forms part of the new exhibition 'Like a Horse.'
The exhibition comprises photographs, video works and installations that are touching, provoking, educational and fascinating. Well-known international photographers such as Mary Ellen Mark, Herb Ritts, David LaChapelle and Charlotte Gyllenhammar rub shoulders with up-and-coming Swedish video and photography artists, including Erika Larsen and Theresia Viska.
'Like a Horse' opens on May 19, 2017 and runs through September 3, 2017.

Fotografiska is housed in a former industrial Art Nouveau style building dating back to 1906. Designed by Ferdinand Boberg, the building was used for the customs control of goods and is listed as a building of cultural interest. The original brick facade of the beautiful customs building is intact, while the interior has been renovated to house the museum. The city of Stockholm has funded the 250 million crown restoration costs. Today, the entire 5,500 square meter space is filled with photographs and exhibitions from around the world.
